Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist
Location - York, ME
Duration - 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to assist in surgical procedures and ensure the operating room is ready for surgery. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and assisting surgeons during procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Set up surgical equipment and instruments before surgeries
2. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and sterile
3. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures
4. Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon as needed
5. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during procedures
6. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
7. Assist with patient positioning and prepping
8. Monitor patients during surgery and alert surgeons to any issues
9. Keep accurate records of surgical equipment and supplies used
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certified Surgical Technologist certification required
2. High school diploma or equivalent
3. Previous experience working as a surgical technologist preferred
4. Knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment
5. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
8. Ability to work as part of a team
